Located in the foothills of the Italian Alps, north of Turin,
Damanhur is a
highly organized and integrated community dedicated to the
unification of art, spirituality, and technology. Damanhur was
founded 1977 by a group of spiritual visionaries of the Horus
Centre of Turin lead by Oberto Airaudi, a modern day Leonardo
DaVinci, who continues to lead this vibrantly dynamic and
creative community. Since the birth of Damanhur, Oberto Airaudi,
also known as Falco (Falcon), inventor, artist, scientist, and
philosopher, has ceaselessly continued to inspire new leaders of
research, within Damanhur, in nearly every aspect of life from
sacred art, music, and language, organic agriculture, medical
healing arts, and textiles to name a few, and time travel.
Damanhur
also has a social and political structure, a Constitution, 40
economic activities, schools, a daily paper, and it's own
currency (at the same value
as the Euro and both are mostly interchangeable within
Damanhur).
In 1995, Kindred Spirit magazine, in collaboration with
Damanhur, gave the world it's first glimpse into some of their
highly complex and fantastic experiments with time travel that
most scientists consider impossible. There are exceptions
of course as mentioned in Kindred Spirit: "In the foreword to
Lawrence Krauss's forthcoming book The Science [Physics] of Star
Trek, Professor Stephen Hawking states that: 'If you combine
Einstein's general theory of relativity with quantum mechanics,
[time travel] does begin to seem a possibility'. According to
Hawking, 'building a genuine time machine will not be as easy as
sitting in a chair and twirling a few knobs. Modern proposals
for such a machine face one severe problem: the energy supply.'
He also asserts that 'it doesn't involve much money - what it
needs is an openness of mind to consider possibilities that
might appear fantastic'."
For anyone reading this article who has traveled by airplane
from the East Coast to the West Coast, wasn't your first time a
little surreal in the fact that everyone in there perceived
themselves as existing within a temporal plane three hours
earlier than where you just were, which in West Coast time was
now your future? Perhaps you could you say that today we are
able to travel across time (zones) and back with amazing speed,
but what if you could travel 'through and into' time without
aging? Where would you find the energy needed to accomplish this
and how could you harness it if you found such a source?
According to the researchers at Damanhur: "The answer lies in
the 'Tempio dell'Uomo', the underground complex at Damanhur,
otherwise known as the Temple of Humankind."1 The Temple of
Humankind is a fully
underground temple of vast corridors that lead to astonishing
and enormous inner temples filled with wall to wall art made of
remarkable sculptures, fantastic murals, elaborate stainglass
including the largest Tiffany stainglass cupolas in the world,
and the full range of various metals, gemstones, and colors.
Deep within the inner structures of the temple is a highly
intricate system of 'Selfic technology' composed of 300 tons of
detailed energy-conducting circuits, connections, and pathways
made of virtually every mineral and metal known. This
"[gigantic] 'battery' has been constructed according to the
science of 'Selfica', which, say the Damanhurians, is 'an
ancient science derived from the basic form of our universe, the
spiral. It was known to the Egyptians, the Celts, and the Arabs,
who utilized it up to the 8th Century B.C."1
"Selfica is the practical use of spirals and metals to
concentrate and
direct vital energies. 'Selfs' are built mostly out of gold and
silver,
because they are the best conductors, but it is also possible to
use copper and brass.'"1 The use of Selfic technology is not
limited to time travel research and is a very important aspect
of life in Damanhur for enhancing personal health and energy
management, stimulating creativity and insight, accessing deep
states of meditation for spiritual growth, and the appreciation
of art and beauty that is also created in the form of Selfic
jewelry. 'Selfic art' is also found nearly everywhere in
Damanhur from the outdoor temple to the vast network of stone
spirals and labyrinths found in various locations with in the
hills of Damanhur.
The greatest use of the 'Selfica' is found within the
underground temple
where it concentrates and directs the energies of several
convergent
factors, part earth created and part Damanhur created. The most
unusual of these factors a rare mineral called Mylonite that is
characterized by its ability to transport the physical energies
of the earth and in the case of the Temples of Humankind, on a
massive scale. As it turns out, the Damanhurians built the
Temples of the Humankind completely "inside a vein of Mylonite
located at a point where the Eurasian continental plate meets
the African one, creating breakthroughs of this rare mineral
dated over 300 million years old." "The recent discovery of the
Mylonite fault has left the geologists of the leading
engineering firm appointed by the Italian Government to study
the Temples, speechless. After over twenty years from the start
of construction, official scientific research confirms that
there is only one point of energy on the planet such as the one
where the Temples are built."1
A second earth factor that exists at this unique location is the
convergence of major synchronic lines of the earth that form a
'synchronic knot'2, like at Stonehenge and in Lhasa, Tibet.
These massive energy lines circulate the earth's energies along
these synchronic lines and also store large amounts of energy in
rock formations. As a result, these 'synchronic knots' are
turned into 'Time Mines.'1 Before it is possible to utilize the
'Time Mine' energies, the mineral must first be extracted. For
years, the Damanhurians dug into the rock by hand, pickax, and
shovel fully engaging their "awareness, as if it were a
meditation, a digging deep inside the self."1
A third factor is one of human generated energies through the
ritualistic
activities of dancing, chanting, meditating and singing that
serve not only as a centerpiece of social and spiritual life,
but also as a source of
energies that can be stored by the Temple's circuitry. A fourth
factor
involves the skillful blend of human creativity, engineering,
and artistry.
"The Damanhurians work on the basis that there is a precise
relationship
between the extension of the decorated surfaces and the amount
of energy generated. The use of glass, for instance, allows them
to double the surface area in the same space, as it has two
sides. This is just one of the reasons why art is so important
to them."1
The Damanhurians believe that there are two main ways to time
travel:
one is with the physical body and the other is with the
consciousness and subtle bodies. Utilizing elaborately designed
'Selfic Time Cabins', the
extensively trained time traveler or 'Temponaut' concentrates on
his/her mission as the researcher on the outside makes the final
adjustments. "After a while, a Time Door appears in front
of the Temponaut. Usually it looks like a large comma in a dark
color. The Temponaut, following the instructions received during
training, jumps into the door and travels to another point in
the fabric of time."1 The Temponaut's body then dematerializes
and then rematerializes "in another time dimension, maybe even
in the same place from where they departed, but several
centuries or millennia before."1 Due to the many serious
potential risk factors involved to the body of the time traveler
and the time line itself, only the most rigorously trained
Damanhurians consider physical time travel.
The initial preparation for time travel using the vehicle of
consciousness
and the subtle bodies is similar to what the physical time
traveling
Temponaut undergoes, only for the subtle body Temponaut, "a Time
Door appears it looks like a jagged window of light on another
reality.
Following the instructions received during the training, [the
Temponaut]
goes beyond the window with his/her thoughts and will and finds
him/herself at another point in the fabric of time. In this
case, however, in order to move, the Temponaut needs to use the
body of a living being of the time in which he/she has arrived.
The Temponaut's consciousness aligns with that of the person in
whom he/she has to 'enter' and for a short period of time there
are two in the same body."1
The Damanhurians also believe that the soul's consciousness can
travel in this way and be temporarily transferred "not only
inside other human beings, but also inside animals. [In this
way,] it becomes possible to see through the eyes of a hawk, to
hear with the hearing of a fox, to smell with the senses of a
dog."1 The second method of time travel, using consciousness and
subtle bodies, is considered highly complex and requires of the
traveler a constant awareness of "keeping the fabric of
space-time 'open' in order not to lose the connection between
the body left behind inside the Cabin and the subtle bodies that
are traveling."1
How many of us have felt that we have traveled through time with
our
consciousness and our subtle bodies during a particularly
powerful energy healing session or a similarly transcendent
meditation experience? I believe that the number is much larger
than we would imagine. What purpose does this serve in the
greater picture of things and why would a community such as
Damanhur spend so much time and effort to create such a force?
In our experience of the Damanhurians and in our spiritual
energy healing work in the United States, my wife, Rio, and I
feel that it all serves the same purpose - to heal the past,
live in the present, and to evolve the soul, literally. As
stated in the Isaiah scroll(3), the Damanhurians believe, as I
would imagine many of us do on some level, that we have many
possible realities and that the more we consciously choose
create a better world, the greater the force will be towards the
creation of a new timeline, one based upon world unity.
