Damanhur,
named from the ancient Egyptian "city of
light", is a richly diverse international community
renowned for spiritual and social research and is located in the
northwest corner of Italy. Nearby lies Turin, long called the
"city of magic," the home of the famous Shroud of Turin and the
second largest Egyptian museum in the world. In the early 70's,
Damanhur was born from the dreams
of a visionary, writer, philosopher, painter, healer, and
researcher named Oberto Airaudi (also known as Falco or Falcon
for his far-reaching vision of what human beings can be). For
nearly 30 years, Damanhur's citizens have been applying Oberto's
extensive research into the human potential and, as a result,
have turned themselves from a group of ordinary people,
practical visionaries into a self-sustaining and ongoing
community of researchers, artists, mystics, philosophers, and
scientists living in balance with the Earth and each other. Now
numbering over 800 people, Damanhur is a "living" work of art,
an amazing synthesis of social organization, spirituality,
music, dance, art, philosophy, economics, and technology. Their
stained glass, mosaics, murals, sculpture, silks, and jewelry
are exquisite.
The choice of Damanhur's location was not accidental. Oberto's
early research group of the Horus Centre, in Turin, discovered
unique lines of naturally occurring energy current called
Synchronic Lines, different from
ley lines, that flow as a nervous system near the Earth's
surface and connect to the galaxy. There are only two known
points on Earth where four of these lines meet: Lhasa, Tibet and
Damanhur, Italy. Once referred to as the 8th Wonder of the
World, Damanhur's Temples of Humankind
is one of the most spectacular places you will ever visit. Built
inside a large vein of mylonite, a rare Earth mineral and a
powerful conductor of the earth's energies, they sit at the apex
of four of these energy lines that form a
Synchronic Knot.
Our time there will be a unique blend of a program created just
for us that includes courses led by Damanhurians on spiritual physics, sacred dance and
language, development of our inner senses, meditation, healing,
sculpture, spiritual alchemy, and other magical experiences. We
immerse ourselves into the energy matrix of Damanhur by walking
and experiencing the Labyrinths, the Outdoor
Temple, the Summer Solstice and the Temples of Humankind.
Our group will also have a very special opportunity to
experience Contact with the Cosmos
- Overnight in the Temples of
